Delray Affair General Exhibitor
Rules
This event is possible thanks
to the courtesy of the City of Delray Beach and its merchants.
Exhibitors are asked to cooperate with Event Officials, who can
be identified by their pink shirts. Five information booths are
conveniently located throughout the Delray Affair.
1. Animals are prohibited from
the event.
2. Booth placement is carefully chosen by the committee. Categories
of judging do not indicate space location. No changes are allowed
after the event begins. Transfer or subletting of assigned spaces
is NOT allowed.
3. Break down of booths must be completed and removed by 8:00
P.M. on Sunday. Any materials left behind will be confiscated.
4. Cartons or boxes must be kept out of view. Exhibitors are
responsible for keeping space clean, safe and secure. Exhibits
and materials must be contained within the assigned booth space
and cannot be extended.
5. Conduct and displays must be appropriate. The committee reserves
the right to remove or prohibit any exhibit which is deemed not
suitable, including persons, conduct, material and other items.
No selling or soliciting outside of booth space.
6. Construction of booth and displays must be able to withstand
inclement weather and crowd activity.
7. Copyrighted Delray Affair name and logo are prohibited for
use or sale.
8. Electric service from any public source is strictly prohibited.
Generators are permitted by petitioning the committee for special
permission in advance. Power cords must be taped down.
9. Equipment is not provided. Exhibitors must bring any equipment
they need.
10. Helium balloons are prohibited.
11. One exhibitor is allowed per space. Display of items is limited
to those named on the application. Artists must display their
own original work.
12. Parking is available in the municipal parking lots. Related
fees or penalties are the responsibility of the exhibitor. No
vans, automobiles or self-propelled vehicles may be used in or
adjacent to display area.
13. Participation is required all three days. Exhibitors who
break down displays or depart before 6:00 P.M. will not be allowed
to return the following day or to future shows.
14. Raffles are strictly prohibited.
15. Refunds will not be given if the Delray Affair is cancelled
due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. A cancellation fee
will apply up to 7 days prior to the event. No refunds for cancellations
made less than (7) days prior to the Affair.
16. Regulations of the Police/ Fire Department (and city ordinances)
prohibit: burning of open fires, candles, etc., selling/consumption
of alcoholic beverages, or loud noise or music.
17. Set up: Cars and trucks used for unloading must be off the
street by 8:00 A.M. each day. Set up must be completed by 9:00
A.M. on Friday in your assigned space. After this time, empty
space will be reassigned. No setup is permitted on Thursday.
18. Transactions, including collection of Florida Sales Tax,
are the responsibility of the participant.
19. Two-sided Booths (open to the sidewalk and the street) may
be assigned priority location.
20. To be eligible for prize money, no more than 3 artists may
collaborate on an item.
A monitoring committee continually
enforces the rules of The Delray Affair. Violation of the rules
will result in immediate ejection from the Delray Affair with
no refund (We're not kidding). This action will result in the
banning from future participation

17. A Clean-Up Deposit is required from all on-site cooking vendors.
Deposits will be returned only to those vendors in compliance
of City of Delray Beach standards. Improper disposal of grease,
cooking oils, trash, etc. will result in ejection from the Delray
Affair and preclusion from future participation. Deposits will
be returned to vendors within 21 days of show ending.
Please note: City Ordinance Environmental Regulation Chapter
53.012 - Under no conditions shall the discharge of domestic,
sanitary, industrial or commercial waste be permitted into the
storm sewer system.
REFUNDS subject to final charges for cleanup assessed by the
City of Delray Beach for food related problems.

19. ELECTRICITY for vendors is extremely limited! Only electrical
applications or generators applied for and approved by the Delray
Affair Committee will be allowed.

A MONITORING COMMITTEE CONTINUALLY
ENFORCES THE RULES OF THE DELRAY AFFAIR. VIOLATION OF THE RULES
WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EJECTION FROM THE DELRAY AFFAIR WITH
NO REFUND (WE'RE NOT KIDDING). THIS ACTION WILL RESULT IN THE
BANNING FROM FUTURE PARTICIPATION.
